ART VINYLⓇ 展について
2015年2月に一枚からレコード制作するサービスをスタートさせたART VINYL .TOKYO（アート・ヴァイナル・トーキョー）。
通常のレコード制作の他、アートピースとしてのレコード制作の意図も屋号に込められており、数多くの音楽家、アーティストと共同でART VINYLⓇの制作、展示協力をしてきた。2025年で10周年を迎えたART VINYL .TOKYO。今回これまでに制作してきたART VINYLⓇの中から代表する作品をアーティスト、ギャラリーの協力の元、原宿のオルタナティブ・スペース、PUNKTUREにて展示いたします。各アーティストの世界観を別の視点から感じ取れるアートと音楽。多くのレコードファン、アート好きに是非目の前で見て頂きたい美しい作品となっております。きっと新しい価値観が今回の展示で生まれることでしょう。
本展示ではアーティスト達のART VINYLⓇ作品の他、書籍「A Work of Art Vinyl Collection」の著者でもあるMAKIの貴重なART VINYLⓇコレクションも展示いたします。

ここ20年で英国ストリートアートシーンで注目されるアーティスト。ダダイズムやポップアート風のキャッチーなペイストアップ画で知られ、街中でよく見られる。ノスタルジックなイメージをリミックスし、大衆文化や消費社会の不条理、曖昧さやユーモアを表現。ロンドン、シカゴ、ニューヨークなどで展示され、コムデギャルソンやStussyなどとのコラボ実績もあり、作品価値は近年オークションや展示で高騰している。

彼の作品は、写実と抽象を行き来し、単なる肖像画ではなく、解体と再構築を繰り返す独自の表現を追求している。荒々しい筆致と精密な描写が共存し、動物的本能も感じさせる。紙を使った絵画を中心に、立体、パフォーマンス、音楽、映像、儀式など多方面で活動。2000年からバンド「Gang Gang Dance」のメンバーとして世界で活動し、映画音楽制作なども行う。現在はニューヨークのJames Fuentesギャラリー、英レコードレーベル4ADに所属している。

James Banbury / ジェイムズ・バンブリー
作曲家、プロデューサー、DJであるジェームス・バンブリーは、レイヴ・アーティスト（The Magus Project）としてスタートし、90年代の大半を不機嫌なUKcバンド、The Auteursで「チェリスト」として過ごす。
2000年代にはSnow Patrol, U2, and Goldfrappといったアーティストのストリングスのアレンジやプログラミングを手がけ、Art of Noiseのポール・モーリー（Infantjoy）とグループを結成。
2010年からは香港に拠点を移し、主にテレビ音楽の制作や、Blood Wine or Honey（現在も活動中）のメンバーとして活動している。
2020年にThe Magus Projectを復活させ、2022年に香港のSilk Road SoundsからThen / Now EPをリリース。昨年末には、東京を拠点に活動するアーティスト、ロブ・キドニーとトラック「NRG MOB」をドロップ。
現在は東京を拠点に活動し、アートギャラリーのような空間でクラブミュージックをプレイしている。

Masaya Nakahara / 中原昌也
音楽家、映画評論家、小説家、随筆家、画家、イラストレーター。文化学院高等課程中退。1988 年頃から音楽活動を始め、1990 年にノイズユニット暴力温泉芸者を立ち上げ、海外公演などを通じて日本国外でも活動。音楽活動と並行して映画評論も手がけ、1998 年には小説家としてデビュー、2001 年に『あらゆる場所に花束が…』で三島由紀夫賞、2006 年に『名もなき孤児たちの墓』で野間文芸新人賞を受賞。2023 年末に病に倒れ、約 1 年半の入院生活の後現在もリハビリを続けている。
スプラウト・キュレーションにて2012年、2018年、2020展覧会多数年、2021年に個展他、展覧会多数。
Nobutada LODIO Yaita / ヤイタ・ロディオ・ノブタダ
DJ / 1977 Records / Art Vinyl .Tokyo主宰。約30年パンク関連グッズを販売。 2015年からはレコードを1枚から製作出来るサービスをスタート。
また2024年4月に原宿にオルタナティブ・スペースPUNKTUREをオープンさせる。

グラフィックデザインやDJとして活躍しながら、iPhoneのみを使用した撮影とエディットで作品を生み出すiPhone Photographerとして一躍注目を集める存在となった。その後、本格的にフォトグラファーの道へ進む。る。
様々なジャンルのブランドとのコラボレーションや日本を代表するファッションブランドBape®や©SAINT Mxxxxxx、村上隆、KAWSを始め、数々の著名人のポートレートやパリサンジェルマンのジャパンツアーで２年連続帯同フォトグラファーとした実績も持ち、企業広告のディレクションも行っている。
ストリート、建築、自然などジャンル問わず幻想的な色彩と独自の視点で切り撮るRKの作品は日本、海外メディアにも取り上げられている。
NFT PHOTOGRAPHYという分野において、わずか1ヶ月で約150ETHを売り上げるなどデジタルアートワーク分野でも注目を集める存在となった。

Rob Kidney / ロブ・キドニー
英国・ブライトン出身のペインター。ブライトン大学イラストレーション科卒業。現在は東京を拠点に活動。
鮮やかな色と力強い手描きのラインを駆使したユニークなキャラクターアートを得意とし、音楽、ファッション、インテリア雑貨など様々な分野にイラストを提供。
2012年より、東京・田端にあるギャラリーWISH LESSのオーナーとして、国内外の作家の展覧会キュレーションも行う。

Setsuya KUROTAKI / 黒瀧節也
ファッションショーや商業施設、映像、公共空間、モビリティなど、多様な領域でサウンドプロデュースやサウンドデザインを手がけ、「音」を社会に実装し続けるクリエイター。ミュージシャンとしても多名義で国内外のライブや作品に参加。
受賞歴には、毎日ファッション大賞ノミネート、日本空間デザインアワード金賞・KUKAN OF THE YEAR 2020、文化庁メディア芸術祭優秀賞など多数。著書に『みえないものをデザインする』がある。

1964 年神奈川県生まれ。
1992 年東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科修了。

特殊な手法であるダイレクトカットによって、1枚からといった少ない枚数から、7inchや12inchレコードを作ることが出来るサービスです。
ヨーロッパのエンジニアより現地で直接カッティングのトレーニングを受けたスタッフが、一枚一枚丁寧にレコード盤に音をダイレクトカットしていきます。
実際にカットされたレコード盤は再生テストにも耐え、プレスされたレコード盤と遜色のない物です。
ノベルティなどのプロモーショングッズ、限定販売、DJ用やギフト用まで、小ロット生産ならではの用 でご活用いただけます。

About the ART VINYLⓇ Exhibition
ART VINYL .TOKYO launched its service for producing records from a single master in February 2015.
Beyond standard record production, the company name embodies the intention to create records as art pieces. It has collaborated with numerous musicians and artists on the production and exhibition of ART VINYLⓇ. ART VINYL .TOKYO celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025. This exhibition, held at the alternative space PUNKTURE in Harajuku, showcases representative works from the ART VINYLⓇ collection produced to date, with the cooperation of the artists and galleries involved. It presents art and music that allows one to experience each artist's worldview from a different perspective. These are beautiful works that we sincerely hope many record enthusiasts and art lovers will see in person. This exhibition is sure to spark new perspectives.
Alongside the artists' ART VINYL® pieces, this exhibition will also feature a rare ART VINYL® collection belonging to MAKI, author of the book ‘A Work of Art Vinyl Collection’.

About the Artist
A.CE
An artist who has garnered attention within the British street art scene over the past two decades. Known for his catchy paste-up paintings reminiscent of Dadaism and Pop Art, his work is frequently seen throughout urban environments. He remixes nostalgic imagery to express the absurdity, ambiguity, and humour inherent in popular culture and consumer society. His work has been exhibited in London, Chicago, New York and elsewhere, with collaborations including Comme des Garçons and Stussy. The value of his pieces has surged in recent years through auctions and exhibitions.

Brian DeGraw (Gang Gang Dance)
His work oscillates between realism and abstraction, pursuing a unique expression that involves repeated deconstruction and reconstruction, rather than mere portraiture. Coarse brushstrokes coexist with precise depictions, evoking animalistic instincts. Primarily working with paper-based paintings, his practice spans sculpture, performance, music, video, and ritual. Since 2000, he has toured globally as a member of the band Gang Gang Dance and also composes film scores. He is currently represented by James Fuentes Gallery in New York and the British record label 4AD.

In 2018, he began his creative activities by drawing pictures with his finger on his smartphone during train journeys. Holding the smartphone, an essential item for modern people, he creates works that embody the questions and ideals unique to this era, known as “the present”, and works both domestically and internationally. In recent years, he has been constructing his own unique worlds in various locations, including not only data but also sculpture, space, drawing, and the exterior walls of public spaces overseas.

James Banbury
Composer, producer and DJ James Banbury began as a rave artist (The Magus Project) and spent most of the 90s as the “cellist” in the ill-tempered UKc band The Auteurs.
In the 2000s, he arranged and programmed strings for artists including Snow Patrol, U2, and Goldfrapp, and formed a group with Paul Morley (Infantjoy) of Art of Noise.
Since 2010, he has been based in Hong Kong, primarily producing television music and as a member of Blood Wine or Honey (still active).
Revived The Magus Project in 2020, releasing the Then / Now EP via Hong Kong's Silk Road Sounds in 2022. Late last year, dropped the track ‘NRG MOB’ with Tokyo-based artist Rob Kidney.
Currently based in Tokyo, playing club music in art gallery-like spaces.

Masaya Nakahara
Musician, film critic, novelist, essayist, painter, illustrator. Withdrew from the advanced course at Bunka Gakuin. Commenced musical activities around 1988, founding the noise unit Boryoku Onsen Geisha in 1990 and performing overseas. Alongside his musical pursuits, he undertook film criticism and debuted as a novelist in 1998. He received the Mishima Yukio Prize in 2001 for Bouquets Everywhere... and the Noma Literary Newcomer Prize in 2006 for The Grave of the Nameless Orphans. He fell ill at the end of 2023, spent approximately one and a half years hospitalised, and continues rehabilitation to this day.
Numerous exhibitions at Sprout Curation in 2012, 2018, 2020, and a solo exhibition among many others in 2021.
Nobutada LODIO Yaita
DJ / Founder of 1977 Records / Art Vinyl .Tokyo. Has sold punk-related merchandise for approximately 30 years. Launched a service in 2015 enabling the production of records from a single copy.
Additionally, will open the alternative space PUNKTURE in Harajuku in April 2024.

While working as a graphic designer and DJ, he gained attention as an iPhone Photographer, creating works using only an iPhone for shooting and editing. He then embarked on a full-fledged career as a photographer.
He has collaborated with brands across various genres, including leading Japanese fashion brands Bape® and ©SAINT Mxxxxxx, as well as renowned figures such as Takashi Murakami and KAWS. He has also served as the official photographer for Paris Saint-Germain's Japan tour for two consecutive years and directs corporate advertising campaigns.
RK's work, which captures street scenes, architecture, nature and other subjects with fantastical colours and a unique perspective, has been featured in Japanese and international media.
In the field of NFT PHOTOGRAPHY, he has attracted attention in the digital artwork field, selling approximately 150 ETH in just one month.

Rob Kidney
A painter from Brighton, UK. Graduated from the Illustration Department at the University of Brighton. Currently based in Tokyo.
Specialises in unique character art employing vivid colours and bold hand-drawn lines, providing illustrations for diverse fields including music, fashion, and interior goods.
Since 2012, has also curated exhibitions for domestic and international artists as owner of Gallery WISH LESS in Tabata, Tokyo.

Setsuya KUROTAKI
A creator who continues to implement “sound” within society, handling sound production and sound design across diverse fields including fashion shows, commercial facilities, film, public spaces, and mobility. Also participates in live performances and works both domestically and internationally under multiple names as a musician.
His awards include nominations for the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix, the Japan Space Design Award Gold Prize and KUKAN OF THE YEAR 2020, and the Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival. He is the author of Designing the Invisible.

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, 1964.
Completed the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, 1992.

About ART VINYL .TOKYO
Launched in 2015, 'Art Vinyl .Tokyo'
is a service enabling the creation of 7-inch and 12-inch records, even in small quantities starting from a single copy, using the specialised technique of direct cutting.
Staff trained directly in cutting techniques by European engineers meticulously direct-cut each sound onto vinyl discs one by one.
The resulting cut discs pass playback tests and are indistinguishable from mass-produced pressed records.
Ideal for promotional items like novelties, limited editions, DJ use, or gifts – perfect for the unique needs of small-batch production.
